My name is Jessica Dow. I am a junior at Grand View University (visit our website at http://www.grandview.edu/) majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Language Arts. I am currently enrolled in Teaching Literacy 3-8 and will be writing this blog to share my work with and individual reader. During my time with this reader, I will be creating lessons based around his individual needs. My practicum this semester is in 3rd grade in the West Des Moines, Iowa area. My cooperating chose this individual for me to work with as he felt the student could benefit from the extra reading attention.
